- Never compromise on the cut. Cut determines the brilliance of a diamond.
- Only look for certified diamonds
- Be aware of treated diamonds - Some people try to artificially improve a diamonds colour
- Only buy loose diamonds. Colour, cut and clarity are hard to identify when treated
- Deal only with established reputable companies
- Know the returns policy of the company you are purchasing from.
- Know the upgrade policy.
